TULSA, Okla. — A shooting at a north Tulsa towing company on Tuesday left two business owners dead and another person injured, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at Mike’s Towing near North Garnett Road and Pine Avenue. Tulsa Police Department officers responded to the business shortly before 11 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.

Investigators said the violence erupted after a group arrived at the towing company seeking the release of a vehicle that had been impounded from private property. What began as a dispute between the group and the owners of the business reportedly escalated into a confrontation that ended in gunfire.

Police identified the victims as Mike Moore, owner of Mike’s Towing, and his wife, Mamie Mary D. Moore. Mamie Moore was pronounced dead at the scene. Mike Moore sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

A third individual was also struck during the incident and suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. That person was taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released further information regarding the extent of the injuries.

Following the shooting, officers detained those involved while detectives began processing the scene and collecting evidence.
