LUTZ, Fla. — Authorities are investigating the deaths of a man and woman who were found deceased inside a Lutz residence Thursday morning in what the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office described as a suspected murder-suicide.
Deputies were dispatched at approximately 10:40 a.m. to a residence in the Cot Road area following a request for a welfare check. When deputies arrived, they discovered an adult man and an adult woman dead inside the home.
According to preliminary information released by the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, investigators believe the man shot the woman before fatally shooting himself.
Authorities identified the man as 66-year-old Lyle Fulton. The woman’s identity had not been released in the information provided.
Investigation Underway
The Sheriff’s Office said detectives were continuing to gather evidence and determine the circumstances leading up to the deaths.
The residence appears to be located within the Lake Como Family Nudist Resort area, although authorities have not indicated that the resort itself was involved in the incident.
In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office said the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no threat to the public.
Authorities have not released additional information about a possible motive or the relationship between the two people.
