EL PASO, Texas — Americas High School in the Socorro Independent School District was placed on lockdown Thursday following a stabbing that left one person seriously injured, prompting a large emergency response near the campus.
A significant number of law enforcement officers and emergency personnel were reported at the scene on Pellicano Drive in front of Americas High School as authorities responded to the developing incident.
All students on campus were placed under lockdown protocols while officials investigated. The campus was also closed off, with additional personnel reportedly being prevented from entering the school.
