The Rimouski, Quebec community is mourning the loss of Olivier Ouellet, who died on August 24, 2026, at the age of 28 following a period of hospitalization at Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus in Quebec City.
Olivier’s passing has left his family, partner, friends and wider community heartbroken. Tributes shared after his death describe him as someone who could be tough and competitive while also being kind and warm to the people around him.

Olivier was a resident of Rimouski and the partner of Félicia Lauzon. He was the son of Steeve Ouellet and Patricia Gagnon and brother to Kevin.
His family said he also leaves behind grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends who shared an important part of his life.
