The human remains discovered in New Milford Township last weekend have been confirmed to belong to Sara May Reynolds, the 26-year-old woman reported missing in early July, according to Susquehanna County Coroner Jessica Chiaramonte. The remains were located in a wooded area on Sunday, prompting an investigation that led to the positive identification of Reynolds.

Reynolds was last seen on July 2 near Route 492 at the intersection with Interstate 81 in New Milford Township. Her family has requested privacy during this difficult time and has asked that they not be contacted for interviews or comments.
